up to 51 or 59 passengers, the Setra S 215 and S 217 HDH

In our ongoing dedication to innovation, advanced technology
is standard equipment on today's Setra coaches — from ABS,
traction control and independent suspension for a safer,
smoother ride...to the patented Setra mirror system that
offers a superior view of the front and sides of the coach.
Both
models are powered by Detroit Diesel's Series 60 engine,
the most popular power plant among coach operators nationwide,
along with the Allison B500R World Transmission. By using
these familiar U.S.-made components, serviceability and
rapid parts availability all year around are ensured.
Interior amenities abound on the Setra. Ergonomically-designed
bucket-style seats are tastefully upholstered, recline
to any position and feature stowaway armrests and adjustable
footrests. Overhead modules with individual reading lights
and air conditioning outlets are also included with every
coach.
The
Setra design also incorporates independent front-wheel
air suspension, assuring responsive handling and excellent
ride characteristics, as well as providing a kneeling
feature. A self-steering third axle improves maneuverablilty,
resulting in a turning radius of around 35 feet — impressively
tight for a 40-or 45-foot coach.
